WELCOME TO WOODGATE
STEP BACK IN TIME TO A PLACE WHERE YOU CAN TAKE
LONG WALKS ALONG A SECLUDED STRETCH OF PRISTINE
WHITE BEACH, WHERE CARAVANING CONNECTS FRIENDS,
FAMILIES AS WELL AS STRANGERS, AND THE PUB
IS STILL FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED.
This is Woodgate Beach, a coastal town with a tightknit
community of about 1000 people and located
about 40km east of Childers and 55km south of
Bundaberg. Offering all the charm of a quaint coastal
town, Woodgate Beach is dotted with 1950s beach
shacks and Queenslanders providing a nostalgic
ambience for its visitors.
Flocking to the 16km stretch of coastline are people
keen to experience relaxation at its finest in a largely
untouched paradise. Offering a host of secluded
picnic areas and ideal fishing spots for prawning and
crabbing, Woodgate is also popular with those who
enjoy the rugged terrain suitable for four-wheel driving.
After a day of exploring the surrounding areas that take
in the Burrum Coast National Park, visitors can enjoy a
cold beer at the Woodgate Beach Hotel.
Overlooking the beach and offering a relaxed casual
atmosphere, the Woodgate Beach Hotel is a place
where locals and tourists mingle like old friends.
