<strong>QHA</strong> & TABCORP RACE DAY<br />
More than 300 hotel members, corporate members<br />
and partners joined together <strong>for</strong> the 2<strong>01</strong>8 <strong>QHA</strong> &<br />
Tabcorp Race Day on Wednesday July 25 at Doomben<br />
Racecourse.<br />
The day began with a Hoteliers Forum hosted by<br />
Tabcorp, as Keno, UBET, MAX and Sky Racing<br />
outlined their post-merger plans. Neil & Gae Simpson<br />
from the Withcott Hotel took out the lucky door prize<br />
of three months free Sky Channel in their venue just <strong>for</strong><br />
attending the <strong>for</strong>um. Congratulations!<br />
Moving venues to the Champions Bar and Courtyard<br />
gave us a bigger space to accommodate the PFD<br />
Oyster Shucking Station, the ever-popular Bundaberg<br />
Rum Bar and a new addition with the TWE Wine<br />
Cocktail Bar.<br />
Ubet’s Nicole Thomas provided enough expert tips to<br />
see the Punters Club walking away winners, although<br />
it was Tim Krause from the Tenthill Hotel that kept his<br />
winning streak going long enough to see him win a trip<br />
to the Sky Marquee at Melbourne Cup, including flights<br />
and accommodation, courtesy of Sky.<br />
