8-Step Certification Process Each alternative investment strategy goes through a rigorous 8-step certification process. Here is a brief overview: STEP 1: Referred by Third Party Each of the strategy developers or teams must be referred to us by a trusted third party – A current, certified strategy developer, registered / licensed firm, a trusted colleague or veteran to the industry of more than 10 years. STEP 2: Strategy Application and Survey The strategy developers or companies must complete a comprehensive application and survey in order to begin the process. Some questions include: How many years of professional trading experience do the strategy developers have? What is the methodology and strategy for getting in and out of a specific trade (intraday, swing trading, long-term, speculation, fundamental, discretionary, etc.)? What are the developer’s thoughts on risk / money management? How many trades does this strategy make on average per month? What is the developer’s ratio of winners to losers? What was the strategy’s biggest draw-down? Is this trading method affected by liquidity? Do the developers use the strategy with their own money? STEP 3: Licensing Each strategy developer we work with must have been licensed or currently licensed with one of the governing bodies for trading / investing such as the – CFTC, NFA, SEC, FINRA, CSA, ASIC, etc. 1 23
