HOW TO VISIT LANGDONS QUARTER<br />
The new food precinct is located beneath the existing Hoyts cinema<br />
complex at the Langdons Road end of the centre. One of the biggest<br />
changes is direct pedestrian access into Langdons Quarter and Northlands<br />
from the Langdons Road multi-storey carpark building (below). As well as<br />
the new entry from the carpark, Langdons Quarter also links seamlessly<br />
with the existing centre.<br />

NEW TO CHRISTCHURCH<br />
IPPIN Ramen & Bowl (above) brings a new take<br />
on Japanese cuisine and signature Japanese design<br />
elegance to its licensed premises, specialising in<br />
ramen noodle-based meals and dumplings.<br />
Mad Mex is a fun Mexican franchise where<br />
your burrito, nachos, taco or quesadilla is custommade<br />
to order (guac is essential, of course) and<br />
you can wash it down with a cerveza or jarreto.<br />
Aloha Crepes offers a tantalising range of<br />
sweet or savoury treats for after a movie or<br />
school. They promise a mean coffee too.<br />
Adana Grill specialises in fresh Mediterranean<br />
flavours in its delicious kebabs and meals, with<br />
great falafel and a healthy dose of tzatziki.<br />
GOOD TO KNOW<br />
The name, Langdons Quarter, is a nod to history<br />
as well as its location on Langdons Road. Thomas<br />
Langdon was one of the first settlers in the Papanui<br />
area, a butcher who became a prominent business<br />
man and A&P show judge.<br />
The development includes the reconfiguration of the<br />
existing food court and improved pedestrian flow<br />
within the southern end of the centre. As well there<br />
are brand new female bathrooms and the return of a<br />
parent room to this end of the long centre.<br />
Hoyts Northlands was the first in Christchurch to<br />
introduce recliner seats, back in May, and all six<br />
cinemas have now been upgraded with the extra<br />
comfy seats.<br />
Trading hours: 9am–7pm Monday to Wednesday and<br />
Saturday; 9am–9pm Thursday and Friday; 10am–7pm<br />
Sunday. Nando’s, Sal’s Pizza, Lone Star and The<br />
Coffee Club – all have extended trading hours.<br />
