at St Vincent’s Community Centre,<br />
Caldershaw Road, off Edenfield Road,<br />

We welcome Nigel Hampson who was for<br />
many years curator of the Titanic in Lancashire<br />
Museum. His talk will cover the building of the<br />
Titanic, and a detailed look at the sinking and<br />
its aftermath.<br />
When the Titanic was launched it was said to<br />
be ‘almost unsinkable but in the early hours<br />
of <strong>April</strong> 15th 1912, whilst on her maiden<br />
voyage, the passenger liner Titanic collided<br />
with a gigantic iceberg in the Atlantic Ocean.<br />
The sinking of the Titanic produced worldwide<br />
shock and outrage.<br />
Visitors are welcome at £5 per visit.<br />
Annual membership £27.50.<br />
