Entertainment concepts that will<br />

bring Families together<br />

Located on the island of<br />

Dilmunia in Muharraq,<br />

Mall of Dilmunia aims to<br />

differentiate itself from<br />

traditional malls, by offering<br />

entertainment concepts that<br />

will bring families together.<br />

The philosophy behind Mall of<br />

Dilmunia is that all members<br />

of the family can enjoy<br />

themselves with everything it<br />

has to offer, emphasizing the<br />

inclusivity factor.<br />

Funscape World, the<br />

new Bahraini entertainment<br />

company, has been awarded<br />

the responsibility to manage<br />

the exciting entertainment<br />

centre at Mall of Dilmunia.<br />

Funscape World will consist of<br />

four different zones, Funscape<br />

Play, Funscape Adventure,<br />

Funscape Sport and Funscape<br />

Ice, providing visitors with an<br />

array of choices to enjoy the<br />

amenities and facilities that<br />

the mall will offer. Funscape<br />

World will be open to the<br />

public later this year.<br />

The first zone, Funscape<br />

Play, will consist of engaging<br />

activities for children such as<br />

bumper cars, wheel rides and a<br />

soft play for toddlers, allowing<br />

both parents and children<br />

to enjoy their day together.<br />

The second zone, Funscape<br />

Adventure, will thrill seekers,<br />

with a range of activities such<br />

as ziplining, a four-storey rock<br />

climbing, video games and<br />

more that welcomes all age<br />

groups and physical abilities.<br />

Funscape Sports zone will<br />

offer visitors an indoor sports<br />

experience, with two football<br />

pitches, robo-keeper and a<br />

number of table sport games<br />

for a variety of athletic games,<br />

catering to the preferences<br />

of every individual. The last<br />

zone, Funscape Ice, will allow<br />

visitors to demonstrate their<br />

ice skating skills, alternatively<br />

one will be able to learn how<br />

to skate and enjoy a cool<br />

environment in the perfect<br />

square 26m ² ice rink, the<br />

biggest in Bahrain.<br />

That’s not all, Mall of<br />

Dilmunia will also boast the<br />

fi r s t a n d l a r g e s t c y l i n d r i c a l<br />

aquarium spanning 7 meters<br />

in width by 16 meters high,<br />

covering all floors of the<br />

mall. Visitors will be able to<br />

marvel at the array of sea<br />

life in this unique aquatic<br />

habitat. Visitors with diving<br />

certificates will be able to dive<br />

inside the aquarium and there<br />

will be a petting zoo where<br />

children can actually feed<br />

the fish. The aquarium will<br />

also become an immersive<br />

educational experience that<br />

will allow students from<br />

schools across the country to<br />

visit, explore and learn more<br />

about the different species<br />

and sea-life the aquarium will<br />

inhibit, through a first-hand<br />

encounter with them. Each<br />

level of the aquarium will<br />

exhibit different species of<br />

sea-life based on the depths of<br />

their ecosystem.<br />

Mall of Dilmunia sets<br />

the scene for an enjoyable,<br />

relaxing and fun-filled day<br />

out for families across the<br />

Kingdom. Filled with luxurious<br />

facilities and amenities, cafes<br />

and restaurants overlooking<br />

the 1.62 km canal, creating the<br />

ideal dining and overall mall<br />

experience. The tenant mix<br />

will showcase an exciting mix<br />

of regional and international<br />

retailers that are unique to the<br />

market and the region.<br />

Manara start<br />

construction of<br />

Wadi Al Riffa<br />

Manara Developments has<br />

started the construction<br />

works for one of its most<br />

recent projects, namely ‘Wadi<br />

Al Riffa’, a project aimed to<br />

bringing brilliance of design<br />

and quality of construction<br />

to Bahraini Families settling<br />

in safe and sustainable<br />

communities. The project’s<br />

construction works are<br />

expected to carry on for 10<br />

months and scheduled for<br />

delivery of units early 2020.<br />

Manara, Dr. Hasan Al Bastaki<br />

noted that the Company is<br />

on a continuous pursuit to<br />

refine its knowledge and<br />

understanding towards<br />

meeting the most recent<br />

developments in the<br />

residential real estate market<br />

with a particular focus on<br />

modern Bahraini Families as<br />

to match their requirements<br />

with the latest construction<br />

sector developments within<br />

affordable price ranges.<br />

Phase one - currently<br />

reaching the end of the land<br />

levelling and landfill stage -<br />

consists of 29 attached villas<br />

each occupying a plot ranges<br />

between 180 square meters<br />

and 233 square meters, and<br />

a built-up area of 235 square<br />

meters. Each unit consist of<br />

3 master bedrooms, Majlis,<br />

living room, dining area,<br />

external kitchen, a Maid room<br />

with a toilet, a laundry room<br />

Insha Contracting WLL<br />

has been appointed as the<br />

main contractor for the<br />

development works of the<br />

project<br />

Tender for the<br />

infrastructure works of the<br />

entire development project<br />

has recently been issued<br />

to member of specialized<br />

contractors with the aim<br />

to receive and undergo<br />

evaluation of the bids and<br />

appoint a contractor by April.<br />

The infrastructure works<br />

scope will entail the internal<br />

road network and lighting<br />

lampposts, electricity and<br />

water networks in addition to<br />

underground sewage network.<br />

Total cost of the<br />

development of the entire<br />

projects including the<br />

infrastructure works valued<br />

at approximately BHD 17.6<br />

million (USD 47 million). Dr.<br />

Al Bastaki confirmed.<br />
