The Birtle Paris Church is still without a vicar since the Reverend<br />
Gordon Joyce retired in January. However, our services are being<br />
currently administered by local clergy and we were delighted<br />
to welcome Bishop David of Manchester to officiate at our first<br />
communion of the New Year.<br />
Mondays continue to see STAY AND PLAY running alongside our<br />
drop in coffee morning from 09:15am-12:00pm and our Craft<br />
Group works from 13:00pm.<br />
The activities committee have been planning a full program of<br />
events. Our <strong>2019</strong> musical evening featuring the choir Valley Aloud<br />
is at present in the planning stage and full details will appear<br />
in the next edition of Streetwise. Happi Dayz Birtles charity<br />
committee are working with St. John The Baptist’s to organise a<br />
Summer Fete on Saturday June 8th which this year will include<br />
Birtle Scarecrow competition & the popular pet show (again full<br />
details will appear in the next issue of Streetwise).<br />
