Once again this month we have a great<br />
magazine with pages of community<br />
information reflecting local life as well as<br />
recent and forthcoming events. Combined<br />
with many local businesses advertising their<br />
services, Streetwise really is THE essential<br />
handy guide for every household.<br />
This month local historian, Gary <strong>Heywood</strong><br />
Everett, has sent another fascinating article<br />
about a few lost Rochdale shops that some<br />
of you may remember. We also have our usual<br />
handy Garden Tips from our In Bloom Team and<br />
a mouth watering recipe to try out from local<br />
Chef, Andrew Nutter.<br />
There is so much coming up locally in the<br />
next couple of months, including the much<br />
anticipated <strong>Heywood</strong> 1940’s day and on pages<br />
34 and 35 you will find a useful guide to what<br />
fun is in store for everyone this year. We also<br />
have the Birtle Summer Fete which is always<br />
a fun day for all the family and for those who<br />
like to keep fit and active find all the details<br />
you need for this year’s Rochdale Harriers 25th<br />
