peace, you’ll definitely relax and get

The guest farm has 3 neat en-suite
rooms, each sleeping two; a family
room sleeping 4 to 6 and a 10-sleeper
“dormitory” with its own bathroom and
separate toilet. The latter is mainly for
kids or those young at heart. It also has
its own TV and DVD station.
The house also boasts an open-plan
dining room/lounge and a huge
‘Out of Africa Stoep’ overlooking the
watering hole. It’s self-catering with
a fully equipped kitchen, a sparkling
plunge pool, braai lapa and boma.
“Our latest acquisition is our rustic
Bushveld feel wedding venue that can
host up to 270 people. Our wedding
couples have some of the most
beautiful wedding photographs with
the wild animals at the watering hole
visiting and being inquisitive,”
Mareliz says.
The chapel can seat 80 people and
for close family that needs to stay
over for a few days, the venue also
has two self-catering houses offering
accommodation facilities for 36
people. There is also a braai area for
the guys. “The fact that this can remain
as a rustic bushveld setting or can be
turned into an upmarket venue with
draping, candelabra, loads of quality
crockery and cutlery and fresh flowers
makes this an easy choice for any bride.
The event planning can be part of the
package and it’s only a 45 minute drive
from Pretoria.”
The venue is fully licenced to cater for
all needs. So if you’re on the hunt for
the perfect wedding venue and want
to keep it small and intimate, this is

And of course, with Armar specialising
in good food, the food selection can
range from traditional, to fusion and
even sushi - there is a fully trained
Sushi chef on-site.

their mouths and eyes and still mingle

signing on the dotted line. We have
been fortunate that we have catered
for the very best, including the King of
the Royal Bafokeng, and the late Mrs
Adelaide Tambo. We also do regular
corporate functions for cellphone
service providers and private bankers.”
She has worked on some amazing
events. Her favourite event was a
midnight Oscar award celebration
ceremony at Ster-Kinekor, timed to
tie in with the live Oscars taking place
in Los Angeles.
When Mareliz is not busy running
around catering for events, or hosting
guests at Armar House she loves to
relax and unwind with a glass of chilled
white wine and a bowl of quality pasta,
served with olive oil and parmesan
cheese. Yummy!
