Outdoor Recreation With four distinctly beautiful seasons, Clarksville is home to activities and events that can be experienced and enjoyed all year long. In the spring, residents turn out in droves at local parks and trails, enjoying early blooms and birds at Dunbar Cave State Natural Area and Rotary Park, among others. The tranquil drive to Historic Collinsville transports you back to the mid-19th century and boasts some fine picnic spots, live music and more. Summer provides dozens of water, trails and outdoor activities. Walking, biking, hiking, kayaking/canoeing, fishing, boating, water skiing, golf are just a few of the ways to enjoy an active lifestyle. Fall is one of our most beloved seasons. Vibrant foliage makes the Greenway Trail System and RiverWalk especially popular. Austin Peay State University football is also a local favorite. While we do enjoy an occasional snowfall, mild winters make most outdoor activities enjoyable all year long. 19
