Outdoor Recreation<br />
With four distinctly beautiful seasons, Clarksville is home<br />
to activities <strong>and</strong> events that can be experienced <strong>and</strong><br />
enjoyed all year long.<br />
In the spring, residents turn out in droves at local parks<br />
<strong>and</strong> trails, enjoying early blooms <strong>and</strong> birds at Dunbar Cave<br />
State Natural Area <strong>and</strong> Rotary Park, among others. The<br />
tranquil drive to Historic Collinsville transports you back to<br />
the mid-19th century <strong>and</strong> boasts some fine picnic spots,<br />
live music <strong>and</strong> more.<br />
Summer provides dozens of water, trails <strong>and</strong> outdoor<br />
activities. Walking, biking, hiking, kayaking/canoeing,<br />
fishing, boating, water skiing, golf are just a few of the<br />
ways to enjoy an active lifestyle.<br />
Fall is one of our most beloved seasons. Vibrant foliage<br />
makes the Greenway Trail System <strong>and</strong> RiverWalk<br />
especially popular. Austin Peay State University football is<br />
also a local favorite.<br />
While we do enjoy an occasional snowfall, mild winters<br />
make most outdoor activities enjoyable all year long.<br />
