Activities are offered that appeal<br />
to people of all ages <strong>and</strong> ability<br />
levels. Each recreation center has<br />
a gymnasium, fitness center, game<br />
room, <strong>and</strong> meeting rooms. Annual<br />
membership is only $5 per person.<br />
CLARKSVILLE BCYCLE<br />
Clarksville BCycle is Clarksville’s<br />
exclusive bike-share with a<br />
fleet of 52 urban bicycles<br />
available for checkout at five<br />
automated kiosks located within<br />
the Clarksville Downtown River<br />
District at McGregor <strong>and</strong> Liberty<br />
Park, Clarksville Greenway,<br />
Downtown <strong>and</strong> at Austin Peay<br />
State University’s Foy Center.<br />
Membership options range from<br />
$3 for 24 hours to $50 for an annual<br />
membership. All memberships<br />
include unlimited one-hour bike<br />

DOG PARKS<br />
The City of Clarksville has two offleash<br />
dog parks located throughout<br />
the city: King’s Run Dog Park at<br />
Liberty Park <strong>and</strong> Heritage Park<br />
Bark Park. These spaces offer waste<br />
disposal stations, benches, shaded<br />
areas, dog drinking fountains, <strong>and</strong><br />
ample activity space for dogs of all<br />
sizes. Each park is a safe <strong>and</strong> fun<br />
place for pets <strong>and</strong> owners. A key<br />
fob is needed for entry to King’s<br />
Run Bark Park <strong>and</strong> is available to<br />
Clarksville citizens once they provide<br />
proof of required vaccinations.<br />
Annual memberships are available<br />
for a fee of $10 per family.<br />
PROGRAMS AND<br />
SPECIAL EVENTS<br />
The Clarksville Parks <strong>and</strong><br />
Recreation Department offers<br />
over 500 program sessions <strong>and</strong><br />
events annually! One of the most<br />
impactful programs is the “Summer<br />
Youth Program,” which is a fun<br />
<strong>and</strong> rewarding summer camp<br />
experience offered for children<br />
ages 6-15 years old. During this<br />
six-week program in June <strong>and</strong> July,<br />
fifteen different locations around<br />
Clarksville are utilized including<br />
school gymnasiums, City recreation<br />
centers, <strong>and</strong> Housing Authority<br />
sites. Daily activities at each site<br />
are age specific <strong>and</strong> include games<br />
<strong>and</strong> sports activities, arts <strong>and</strong><br />
crafts, visits to City pools, <strong>and</strong> other<br />
enrichment activities. Clarksville<br />
Parks <strong>and</strong> Recreation Department<br />
also offers a wide variety of activities<br />
for youth, adults, <strong>and</strong> seniors<br />
throughout the other seasons such<br />
as Summer Night Lights, Adult<br />
Fitness Classes, Homeschool P.E.<br />
<strong>and</strong> Silver Fitness. On Saturdays,<br />
the youth basketball <strong>and</strong> volleyball<br />
leagues also play at the recreation<br />
centers. Men’s <strong>and</strong> women’s<br />
softball leagues <strong>and</strong> youth baseball<br />
<strong>and</strong> softball leagues are also held<br />
in the spring <strong>and</strong> fall. Special events<br />
throughout the year are coordinated<br />
to provide fitness <strong>and</strong> leisure<br />
activities to all populations. Fitness<br />
events include the Queen City Road<br />
Race featuring a 5K <strong>and</strong> one-mile<br />
fun run, the Wonder Kids Triathlon<br />
<strong>and</strong> 50 Plus Games. Family <strong>and</strong><br />
leisure events <strong>and</strong> programming<br />
include the Clarksville Downtown<br />
Market, Movies in the Park,<br />
Riverfest, the Clarksville BBQ Bash,<br />
Christmas on the Cumberl<strong>and</strong>, <strong>and</strong><br />
many more.<br />

including park pavilions, pools,<br />
