INFORMATION AND INSPIRATION
The Chamber hosts periodic events like Women in Business and Power Breakfasts with speakers who educate and
inspire business owners and employees with their experiences. Their successes, challenges and lessons learned
often provide needed encouragement. As one small business Chamber member recently shared,
“Running a small business can be overwhelming. We’re trying to do something we love, but have to juggle that with
finance, marketing, HR law, codes, insurance… and customers! It’s always inspiring and refreshing to hear that other
people have gone through all of this and more... and made it.”
NETWORKING
Chamber events like Business After Hours, Business Before Hours and Golf Tournaments are networking
events designed to provide relationship-building experiences that will benefit members and their businesses or
organizations through added contacts and resources. The relaxed and welcoming environments are ideal places to
engage peers, mentors and prospective customers.
BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES
Events like the Home Show and Business Expo are prime opportunities to showcase your businesses products and
services to prospective customers and/or employees. Held throughout the year, these popular events draw large
crowds with a predetermined interest. “We weren’t sure how successful exhibiting at the Home Show would be for
us,” said a member mortgage provider. “But, we’ve gained a dozens of leads every year and secured several new
home loans or refinances directly from our participation in the event.”
