This committee is dedicated to the interest of Clarksville’s soldiers,<br />

<strong>and</strong> they plan events such as Veterans Day commemorative activities<br />

<strong>and</strong> the annual Citizens for Fort Campbell trip to Washington D.C.<br />

PUBLIC AND COMMUNITY AFFAIRS<br />

Chairperson: Sara Golden<br />

The Public <strong>and</strong> <strong>Community</strong> Affairs Committee maintains an emphasis<br />

on local, state, <strong>and</strong> federal government advocacy. Each year they<br />

work to craft the Chamber’s legislative agenda for presentation to<br />

the Montgomery County delegation in Nashville, <strong>and</strong> during election<br />

years the committee partners with Leadership Clarksville to host<br />

political forums that provide an opportunity for local c<strong>and</strong>idates<br />

to answer questions.<br />

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT<br />

Chairperson: Lorie Jackson<br />

The Business Development Committee supports all forms<br />

of businesses in the Clarksville community, from small, minority<br />

<strong>and</strong> women-owned businesses to existing industry, <strong>and</strong> is constantly<br />

working to educate <strong>and</strong> inspire business owners. Events include<br />

the speaker-driven Power Breakfast series <strong>and</strong> Women in Business<br />

luncheons. The Live Local campaign <strong>and</strong> Home Show are ongoing<br />

efforts of this committee, which also supports the Better Beef Show<br />

<strong>and</strong> the Farm Family of the Year Award.<br />

Young Professionals<br />

Chairperson: Jessica Goldberg<br />

Clarksville Young Professionals was launched in 2007 as an<br />

initiative of the Business Development Committee. It is a<br />

Chamber affiliate dedicated to the advancement of our<br />

community through service, professional development <strong>and</strong><br />

networking opportunities for emerging community <strong>and</strong><br />

business leaders ages 21-40. If you are interested in serving<br />
