T levels will take you to the next level,<br />
are you ready?<br />
We are delighted to be one of the first<br />
colleges in the country to be offering<br />
brand new T Levels. These 2-year<br />
technical qualifications are demanding,<br />
but will help launch your career working<br />
with employers from the start of the<br />
course. They include a substantial<br />
industry placement lasting between<br />
45 & 60 days, which will give you vital<br />
skills and experience in the workplace.<br />
We will be offering the Digital and Education<br />
& Childcare T Levels.<br />

Entry requirements<br />
• Maths GCSE at grade 3 (D) or above.<br />
• English GCSE at grade 3 (D) or above.<br />
• An interest in becoming a Computing<br />
professional.<br />
About the course<br />
This one-year full-<strong>time</strong> study programme will help<br />
you prepare to study the Digital T Level.<br />
You will learn about how professional computing<br />
staff work on projects, including the different roles<br />
and responsibilities. You will then have the chance<br />
to experience a range of responsibilities as a team<br />
member on several projects.<br />
Within each project team, you learn you will learn<br />
about the full systems life cycle process, from being<br />
set your brief by an employer and identifying the<br />
problem through to implementation, testing and<br />
maintenance.<br />
You will learn how to plan your work to ensure you<br />
manage your <strong>time</strong> effectively. You will also have<br />
regular reviews with your employer and your team<br />
to ensure you remain on track with your project<br />
work, as well as to develop your confidence and<br />
professional skills.<br />
Maths and English skills are key to a career in<br />
Computing, so resitting your maths and English GCSE<br />
to achieve the required level will be at the heart of<br />
this programme.<br />
Industry placement<br />
You will also have a substantial work placement in<br />
preparation for your future.<br />
Your future<br />
On successful completion of the programme, you<br />
could progress to the Level 3 Digital T Level, a Digital<br />
Apprenticeship or an alternative Level 3 course at<br />
<strong>Shipley</strong> <strong>College</strong>.<br />
