We are a small, friendly college based in beautiful buildings in Saltaire Village, offering great full-time and part-time courses, apprenticeships and traineeships.

NEW FOR 2020

T levels will take you to the next level,

are you ready?

We are delighted to be one of the first

colleges in the country to be offering

brand new T Levels. These 2-year

technical qualifications are demanding,

but will help launch your career working

with employers from the start of the

course. They include a substantial

industry placement lasting between

45 & 60 days, which will give you vital

skills and experience in the workplace.

We will be offering the Digital and Education

& Childcare T Levels.

industries of Digital and Education & Childcare.

offer substantial industry placements which

Transition to the T Level in

Digital Production, Design &

Development: Level 2

Course length: 1 year | Code: 3720

Entry requirements

• Maths GCSE at grade 3 (D) or above.

• English GCSE at grade 3 (D) or above.

• An interest in becoming a Computing

professional.

About the course

This one-year full-time study programme will help

you prepare to study the Digital T Level.

You will learn about how professional computing

staff work on projects, including the different roles

and responsibilities. You will then have the chance

to experience a range of responsibilities as a team

member on several projects.

Within each project team, you learn you will learn

about the full systems life cycle process, from being

set your brief by an employer and identifying the

problem through to implementation, testing and

maintenance.

You will learn how to plan your work to ensure you

manage your time effectively. You will also have

regular reviews with your employer and your team

to ensure you remain on track with your project

work, as well as to develop your confidence and

professional skills.

Maths and English skills are key to a career in

Computing, so resitting your maths and English GCSE

to achieve the required level will be at the heart of

this programme.

Industry placement

You will also have a substantial work placement in

preparation for your future.

Your future

On successful completion of the programme, you

could progress to the Level 3 Digital T Level, a Digital

Apprenticeship or an alternative Level 3 course at

Shipley College.
