How to apply
You can either:
• Fill in the application form on the pages opposite
and send it to Student Services. No stamp is
required.
• Apply online at www.shipley.ac.uk – you can
register your details and you track your progress.
• Call Student Services on 01274 327281.
• Come to an Open Day and apply on the day
(for dates see page 05).
Entry requirements
Whatever your qualifications and school experience,
we will help you make the best choice. Look at the
courses and the entry requirements before you apply.
You will then have an interview and possible further
assessment.
Your interview
Interviews will be with a tutor from your course area.
These interviews are friendly and supportive, giving
you information about courses and College life. You
are welcome to bring someone along with you such
as a parent/carer, friend, relative or personal advisor.
If you have any particular needs with accessing
College buildings or if you need additional support
at your interview, please let us know. Call Student
Services on 01274 327281 in advance, so that we
can put everything in place for you.
Offer of a place...
In nearly all cases, you will be made a conditional
offer of a place at your interview. Offers are
made based on you achieving the GCSE grades or
vocational qualifications required for your course.
Some offers may have additional entry requirements,
such as an audition for a Music course or examples of
artwork for an Art course. If you have any questions
