• 9. I Veroni, Chianti Rufina Riserva 'Vigneto Quona', 2015, Chianti Rufina, Italy
100% Sangiovese. 15% ABV. Clear and intense purple red. Very pronounced scent of blackberries and ripe red
fruits combined with a gentle touch of oak. Medium to full bodied silky taste with well balanced tannins and
long aftertaste. [£18.50]
• 10. Domaine Gelin, Fixin, 2014, Burgundy, France
100% Pinot Noir. 13% ABV. Harvested on September 18th, grapes in perfect health, vatted for 19 days with
battonage twice a day. Aged for 22 months in oak barrels. A beautiful deep garnet-red colour. The nose is
immediate, superb, very pinot, very “classy”. Slightly spicy, it expresses original notes of candied oranges or
orange liqueur. In the mouth, the tasting begins with discretion and finesse. Good acidity provides depth,
stimulates the taste buds. The racy, assertive tannins, tamed by long, careful ageing, add to the wine’s power
and produce a compact, textured wine. The wood of the ageing is perfectly blended with an almost zesty
spicy note. [£25]
• 11. Sendiana Wines, Sendiana Grand Vin, 2014, Caves de Monastere St.Jean, Lebanon
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Franc and Mourvèdre. 14.5% ABV. A vibrant red
wine with aromas of of dark cherry, rich red forest fruits and floral notes of lavender and violets. The palate
has hints of white truffle, hazelnut, warm spices with glimpses of anise and clove, rounded off with herbaceous
undertones. The finish is gripping, velvety and lingering [£15]
