MONTHLY MEETING
The monthly meeting for November
will take place on Tuesday 26th
November in the Multi-Purpose
Room at Champions Manor Hall,
Hullbridge Road at 2pm.
If you are recently retired, or been left on your own and want to
meet new friends and get active then this is the best place to
start. Why not come to our next meeting?
Crouch Valley U3A is based in South Woodham Ferrers and exists
to provide a range of challenging, learning & enjoyable activities
for retired and semi-retired people in our town. Our meetings
are friendly and informal and are normally held on the afternoon
of the fourth Tuesday of each month.
If you would like to participate in one of our groups, then come
along to our meeting to meet our coordinators who will tell you
all about the activities available. We will be showcasing one or
two groups each month. This month the group leader of the Play
Reading Group will be available to chat. Why not give us a visit,
we may have just what you are looking for.
Visitors to our meetings are made very welcome and we are also
happy to welcome new members to our U3A. On your first visit
to us you will be accompanied by one of our mentors, who will
explain the meeting agenda and answer any questions you may
have. We have over 18 thriving interest groups. Something for
everyone to get involved in. You will be able to speak to the
coordinator of any group which interests you. Some of our

Local History Group, visits to interesting places in Essex &
London.
Walking or Strollers
Garden Group, visit to local venues.
Jazz appreciation.
Week Enders. For those who are busy week days
Wine appreciation. 2 groups

The speaker at this month’s meeting will be our member Dr Pat
Garrod who will talk about his world trip on a motor bike.
