The doors pivot outwards and upwards for effortless
access. Fully open, they rise to almost 3m, adding to the sense
of occasion on arrival. This is complemented with expressive
exterior lighting. A focal point is the smart, illuminated
matrix grille and Flying B mascot which come to life as
one approaches the car, with light running across the grille,
through the mascot and along the bonnet central spine of the
car and into the cabin itself. At the rear, a ‘horseshoe’ section
of the boot is a 3D OLED screen on which lighting effects can
blend in with the rear lamps.
Inside, light from the surrounding environment is
harnessed via an innovative glass roof embedded with prisms
that channels energy into the cabin using fibre optics. At the
centre of the main console is the control hub of the high tech
Bentley Personal Assistant AI in the form of an illuminated
Cumbria Crystal centrepiece. The technology offers a whole
new level of personalised comfort including ambient lighting
control and responsive Adaptable Biometric Seating with
sensors that monitor temperature, passenger position and
environmental conditions to deliver maximum ease. Bentley
Personal Assistant also curates personal driving experiences,
offering points of information along a route, journey
suggestions or available luxury experiences nearby.
Additionally the concept car is equipped with the Air
Purification System located in the boot to purify air before it is
supplied into the cabin. For a holistic experience, Bentley has
as far as collaborating with ethically aware fragrance house
12.29 to develop a unique scent for the EXP 100 CT based
on the rich heritage of Bentley, incorporating sandalwood and
fresh moss.
Taking advantage of an all-electric platform, the car is
powered by a cutting edge battery electric powertrain with
a top speed of 300kph and a 0.100km time of less than 2.5
seconds. Optionally autonomous, the car manages the driving
experience based on the external environment and passenger
wellbeing. This might include maximising an exhilarating selfdrive
across mountain roads, or disengaging from a stressful,
inner city commute.
