Broad and balanced...<br />
Y1<br />
Year 1 have been learning about Alfred<br />
Wolmark who was a famous<br />
artist. His parents were refugees<br />
who fled Poland. Despite this, Alfred<br />
became a respected painter. We attempted<br />
to recreate some of his work.<br />
The zoo posted some animal poo to us<br />
so we could pretend to be detectives<br />
and find out whether the poo is from<br />
herbivores, carnivores or omnivores.<br />
We found poo from all 3 groups and<br />
had great fun in the process!<br />
Year 1 experienced forest school. We<br />
made hedgehogs with salt dough and<br />
pine cones before listening to a story<br />
and hearing all about the hedgehog Jo<br />
had rescued. Then we enjoyed crumpets<br />
and warm spiced apple juice.
