e tweaked to perfection. Often wigs and other extravagant accessories are used to obtain
the desired length, color, or texture. It can take months of planning and mood boards,
trial and error, incredible professional skills, patience and determination. And given the
intensity of every detail, the photographer must also be capable of capturing not merely
an image - but a vision. Absolutely nothing is left to chance. And when the shoot is finally
over, the photographs can be truly spectacular, opening our minds up to new worlds,
defining the boundaries between commerce and artistry, and the realization that even
hair can be a medium that has nothing to envy of paints, or clay, or marble in the eyes and
hands of the creative coiffeur... who might just be the person standing behind the chair
you're sitting in and looking at you in the mirror.

journey into the industrial era.
My inspiration for this shoot was the
incredible work created by Iris van
Herpen. Using everyday hardware
material I tried to make industrial
beautiful. This collection won me the
Contessa Award for 2020 Canadian
Avant Garde Hairstylist of the Year."
