FITNESS AND WELLNESS<br />
With a fitness center, swimming pool, hiking and<br />
much more, there are many ways for residents<br />
to achieve a healthy lifestyle. Each year, more<br />
members of the community participate in these<br />
activities and classes, and the Community Council<br />
is always looking for new ways to help residents<br />
enhance their well-being. Offered in <strong>2019</strong>:<br />

• Strength and Balance<br />
• Hiking Group<br />
• Pickleball Clinic<br />
• Tennis Clinic<br />
• CPR training<br />
DC RANCH GIVES<br />
The DC Ranch Gives program provides residents<br />
with meaningful opportunities to engage with<br />
each other while giving back to the broader<br />
community. Almost 1,500 hygiene items were<br />
donated to Fresh Start Women’s Foundation, over<br />
530 pounds of food were donated to Vista del<br />
Camino Food Bank and 195 gifts were donated to<br />
families battling pediatric cancer through Arizona<br />
Cancer Foundation for Children.<br />
Residents volunteered at Feed My Starving<br />
Children, Arizona Helping Hands, Harvest<br />
Compassion Center and Hope 4 Phoenix totaling<br />
431 volunteer hours.<br />
TOUR DE SCOTTSDALE<br />
More than 1,000 cyclists participated in the 16th<br />
<strong>Annual</strong> Tour de Scottsdale, raising $30,000 for<br />
the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy. In <strong>2019</strong>,<br />
the event featured a 70-mile endurance ride<br />
filled with challenging climbs, fast descents<br />
and stunning views and a 30-mile tour of north<br />
Scottsdale with sweeping vistas. Following the<br />
ride, there was a party on Market Street with<br />
food, drinks and a variety of vendors.<br />
