3 Spelling<br />

(a) There are 9 misspelt words. Underline<br />

each and write it correctly in the space <strong>at</strong><br />

the end of the line.<br />

The plural of words is made in<br />

different ways: by adding ‘s’,<br />

‘es’ or, if the word ends in ‘y’,<br />

it is changed to ‘i’ before ‘es’ is<br />

added; for example, ‘boot(s)’,<br />

‘m<strong>at</strong>ch(es)’, ‘ladies’ (‘y’ to ‘i’ and<br />

add ‘es’).<br />
