A muscle is a collection of thread-like<br />

• involuntary muscles<br />
(they carry out activities over which<br />
we have little or no control); and<br />
• voluntary muscles<br />

it’s called a ‘fracture’.<br />
A ‘simple fracture’ is when<br />
there’s no break in the skin.<br />
A ‘compound fracture’ is<br />
when the skin is punctured<br />
by the broken bone.<br />
There is a big difference in<br />
fractures and in the time<br />
and skill required to tre<strong>at</strong><br />
them.<br />
