‘Beauté sous les pieds’ ‘C'est l'hexagone de la chaussée qui
m'a le plus attiré, rappelant à quel point nous négligeons si
souvent la beauté sous les pieds lorsque nous marchons à la
hâte. Mono-imprimé et fortement cousu, le dos est
composé des six couleurs représentant notre groupe.
‘Beauty Underfoot’ It was the pavement hexagon that
attracted me the most, bringing to mind how we so often
disregard the beauty underfoot as we hurriedly walk.
Monoprinted and heavily stitched the back consists of the
six colours representing our group.

‘Trencadis’ Ce sont les couleurs éclatantes des mosaïques
de Gaudi qui m’ont inspirée pour ce premier quilt
«Trencadis». Il est réalisé avec des mini-chutes pour le fond,
la technique traditionnelle pour les hexagones, pochoir et
modelling paste pour les motifs, le tout rehaussé par du
piqué libre au fil d’argent.
‘Trencadis’ It was the bright colours of Gaudi’s mosaics that
inspired me for this first quilt. I used small snippets for the
background, the traditional technique for hexagons, stencil
and modelling paste for the patterns, all enhanced by free
stitching with silver thread.
