SIX DAMES: 2019-2020

‘Nomade’ Mon attirance pour le travail avec le texte et mon
intérêt pour la notion de nomade, de ne pas avoir de racines
fixes, m'ont orientée vers ce défi. La pièce se compose de
lettres individuelles créant le mot nomade en huit langues
pour former une sphère.
‘Nomad’ My attraction to working with text and my interest
in the notion of Nomad, of having no fixed roots, directed me
in this challenge. The piece consists of individual letters
creating the word nomad in eight languages to form a sphere.

L’âme des mots’ ‘Les mots et la couleur bleue du ciel et de la
mer ont guidé ce travail. Pour la transparence, j’ai utilisé
l’organza en découpant les lettres au fer textile. La forme
arrondie de la sculpture est rappelée avec le cercle de lettres
dans lequel on peut lire en français « l’âme des mots ». Et
pour rappeler le lien avec notre groupe, le nom de « Six
Dames » y est aussi présent.
‘The Soul of Words’ The words and the blue of the sky and sea
guided this work. For transparency, I used organza, cutting
the letters with a soldering iron. The rounded shape of the
sculpture is hinted at with the circle of letters in which we can
read in French «l'âme des mots». And as a reminder of the
connection with our group, the name "Six Dames" is also
present.
