No matter how hard a biker might<br />
train to dominate on testing terrains<br />
– to increase their stamina and beat<br />
rivals – there are some obstacles even<br />
the best rider can’t overcome. While<br />
documenting Jasper National Park’s<br />
thriving trail-riding scene, Canadian<br />
photographer Bruno Long and his<br />
friends encountered this majestic elk<br />
on a well-worn route. <strong>The</strong>y had no<br />
choice but to wait for him to slowly<br />
wander back into the woods. “After<br />
our ride, we spoke to a friend who<br />
works for the park, and when we told<br />
him about our encounter he laughed<br />
and exclaimed, ‘Oh, you met Randy!<br />
He’s the king around these parts.’”<br />
