1121 an L.C. Tiffany Favrile glass damascene lamp base<br />

Early 20th c, signed ‘’L.C. Tiffany Favrile’’, of spreading baluster form, on a circular<br />

cushion foot, electrified, fitments restored, overall, 21.75’’ H x 7.5’’ Dia., est:$1200/1400<br />

Condition: The glass in good condition overall. General light marks and scratches<br />

commensurate with age and use. The metal fitment likely with replacements. Side<br />

arms re-soldered as visible in the catalogue photo. Electrified as stated. Wiring<br />

should be checked by a qualified electrician prior to use. No shade.<br />

Circa 1899-1918, the canister marked ‘’Tiffany Studios / New York / 29714’’, the domed<br />

green geometric shade with a band of stylized yellow pomegranates, above three<br />

downswept arms over an acorn-shaped body, on reeded downswept legs above a<br />

quadripartite base, electrified, <strong>22</strong>’’ H x 16’’ Dia., est:$12,000/15,000. Literature: This<br />

model base is illustrated A. Duncan. ‘’Tiffany Lamps and Metalware’’. Woodbridge:<br />

Antique Collectors Club, 2007, p. 28, fig. 73 Condition: Good overall condition. With a<br />

deep brown slightly speckled verdigris patina to surface overall. Shade with a matte<br />

verdigris patina to leading. Ventilator cap probably later and not by Tiffany Studios.<br />

Lacking glass hurricane shade. About 5-10 glass panels with hairline cracks. General<br />

marks, scratches and slight rubbing to surface commensurate with age. Wiring<br />

should be checked by a qualified electrician prior to use.<br />

1123 a Tiffany studios ‘Zodiac’ gilt-bronze desk set<br />

Marked ‘’Tiffany Studios / New York’’, and variously numbered, comprising a lamp<br />

(13.25’’ x 9’’ x 6’’), a picture frame (7’’ x 8’’), a faceted hexagonal inkwell (4’’ x 6.25’’),<br />

two blotter ends (each: 19.25’’ x 2’’), a pen tray (10’’ x 3’’), a rocking blotter<br />

(2.25’’ x 5.5’’ x 2.75’’), a letter opener (10.5’’), a stamp box (1’’ x 3.75’’ x 2’’), a magnifying<br />

glass (9’’ x 4’’), a pair of bookends (each: 6’’ x 4.75’’), and a square paper clip jar<br />

(2.25’’ x 3’’ x 3’’), 11 pcs, est:$4000/6000. Literature: Elements from this set are<br />

Restoration Point, Bainbridge Island, Seattle, WA Condition: General marks,<br />

scratches and rubbing to surface overall commensurate with age and use- particular<br />

rubbing to inkwell, letter opener, pen tray and blotter ends. Overall darkening to<br />

gilding. With some polish residue and dirt accumulation in crevices. Magnifying glass<br />

with chipped losses to lens and strap frame around lens loose. No glass to picture<br />

frame - with easel back. Felt lacking from underside of blotter ends and inkwell. Lamp<br />

shade poorly re-glued, multiple cracks & losses - would benefit from replacement.<br />

Wiring of lamp should be checked by a qualified electrician prior to use.<br />
