A FINELY CONSTRUCTED LARGE SHAFFRON AND<br />
CRINET IN GERMAN LATE 15TH CENTURY STYLE<br />
comprising main plate formed with a medial ridge and<br />
flaring out over the muzzle, fitted with a large cheek-plate<br />
on each side, poll-plate, a pair of pierced domed eyedefences,<br />
shield-shaped escutcheon, and a pair of ear<br />
defences, the main plates embossed with tapering flutes,<br />
with recessed borders, plain turns, and studded<br />
throughout with brass rivets; and a crinet of five lames,<br />
formed en suite with the shaffron<br />
