The property Stora Frösunda 3, also known as Hagaporten, located along the E4 motorway at the northern approach route to Stockholm, was acquired in September 2011. The consultancy firm ÅF is the largest tenant of the property. At the start of <strong>2012</strong>, <strong>Norrporten</strong> acquired the neighbouring properties of Läkaren 8, 9, 10, which have office space totalling approximately 31,500 square metres. The seller, Handelsbanken Liv, together with Svenska Handelsbanken are the largest tenants in the block. <strong>Norrporten</strong> is establishing its own local organisation in the capital to meet customer service requirements. Future Stockholm is growing rapidly and <strong>Norrporten</strong>’s ambition is to continue investing in the city. This new market area will enable <strong>Norrporten</strong> to meet demand from tenants in other locations for first-class, modern premises in the capital. The park area has also been developed. The ambition has been to transform the area into one of Stockholm’s most attractive hubs. The close proximity to intercity trains and buses, the underground railway service, commuter train services and Arlanda Express makes this an extremely appealing area for office establishments. The demand for offices in the area is high. Major tenants <strong>Norrporten</strong>’s major tenants in Stockholm are Handelsbanken, Ångpanneföreningen, the Ombudsman against Ethnic Discrimination, the Swedish Competition Authority, Dell and Toshiba. Greater Stockholm has slightly more than two million inhabitants. The services sector provides around 85 per cent of all job opportunities. Stockholm County has the lowest average age in Sweden – 39 years. Three of Sweden’s largest universities are located here: Karolinska Institutet, the Royal Institute of Technology and Stockholm University.
