warehousing and forwarding. Örebro
University is one of Sweden’s fastest
growing universities.
Current situation
Norrporten’s properties in Örebro are
centrally located and consist primarily of
offices, together with some commercial
space. Demand for both office and retail
space is excellent.
Statistics Sweden, with approximately
800 employees, is Norrporten’s most significant
tenant. The office property on
Klostergatan in central Örebro contains
30,000 square metres of office space.

Future
In Örebro, Norrporten is building a new
judicial centre together with the Police,
the National Courts Administration, the
Swedish Prison and Probation Service
and the Swedish Pros¬ecution Authority.
A new building comprising slightly more
than 20,000 square metres of floor space,
housing new session chambers for the
District Court and modern offices for its
staff, is being constructed together with
the existing police headquarters and
prison.
The ambition is that the judicial centre
will create the greatest possible coordination
benefits for the authorities involved.
The main focus will lie on security, logistics
and energy performance.

The placement of the area, on the corner
of Östra Bangatan and Östra Nobelgatan,
lies on the northern approach to
Örebro city centre.

Norrporten’s major tenants in Örebro
are SCB (Statistics Sweden), the Police
Authority, the Swedish National Courts
Administration, the Swedish Prison and
Probation Service, the Swedish Tax
Agency, and the County Administrative
Board.
Nearly 137,100 people live in Örebro. The university has 17,000 students.
Important industries include the logistical, food, environmental, commerce and high-technology industries.
The largest private employers include Atlas Copco, Nobina, EuroMaint Rail and DHL.
The river Svartån winds through the city, creates a welcoming natural and cultural environment. The city park
has been called the most beautiful in Sweden. There are approximately 98 square metres of parkland for every
inhabitant of Örebro, along with a broad range of sports and cultural offerings.
