In the years before 1975, sex workers in Lyon had
tried to hold other protests in the city to speak out
about policing and working conditions and were
laughed at - media articles at the time mocked them
for speaking out about their "little miseries".

For International Whores' Day we call for the full
decriminalization of sex work, an end to the hostile environment,
funding for sex worker specific services, affordable housing, the
immediate release of those held in detention, and the defunding
of the metropolitan police.
