Sweet
celebrations at
a favourite spot
A business that has been a ‘sweet spot’ for generations of
Christchurch residents is celebrating 30 years in business. Fudge
Cottage, located in the Arts Centre precinct, was launched in
1990, and since then has been selling a range of delicious fudge,
including top seller Russian fudge, to increasing numbers of happy
customers. Birthday celebrations will continue with a series of
giveaways throughout November, so check out their Facebook
page for updates. Now operating from more modern, stylish
premises, the goal of Fudge Cottage is the same as it has always
been – to put a smile on every customer’s face.

You can explore the diverse collection by wandering the galleries
at your own pace, or join a free, guided tour to see the museum’s
work ‘behind the scenes’. If you are visiting with kids, make sure
you pick up a Museum Hunt from the Welcome Desk – they are
a great way for families to explore the museum together. Climb
inside a jet cockpit, take your own Prisoner of War mug shot in the
‘Captured’ space, or test your flying skills in the Mosquito Mission
simulator. During your visit, take some time to relax alongside
historic aircraft in the spacious café while catching a view across
the historic Wigram airfield to the Port Hills.
With plenty of free parking, the Air Force Museum is the perfect
stop on your Summer road trip.
