Have you ever seen
a beautiful picture
and wished you could
display it on a door,
fridge or otherwise?
Developments in the hobby and
art industry now make it possible
to jazz up your fridge and/or
cupboard doors, as well as other
surfaces, with visuals that uplift
your mood and make you smile
with delight.
This process is called waterslides,
and November is the
perfect month to start with the
renovation of different surfaces
in your house making use of this
technique.
Be mindful to apply it to smooth,
non-porous surfaces only.
Untreated surfaces will absorb
the glue that is used, impairing
the longevity of your picture.
Shopping list
• Chalk paint
• Water-slide picture(s) - these can
be bought from an art shop or
Concrete and Garden Creations
just outside Mbombela on the
Barberton Road
• A serving tray large and deep
enough to accommodate the size
of your picture
• The object you wish to use
• Paintbrushes
• La Lacquer sealer
• Water.
We used an old cupboard door
for this project.
