Export Increase of Chemical Industry in Covid-19
Products Exceeds 61 Percent in 10 Months

Birliği (İKMİB) verilerine göre kimya sektöründe yer alan
dezenfektan, kolonya, sabun, ilaç ve tanı kitlerinden oluşan
Covid-19 ürünlerinin ihracatı bu yıl on aylık dönemde yüzde
61,43 artarak 258,6 milyon dolara ulaştı. On aylık dönemde
en çok tanı kitleri ihracatı yapılırken onu sabun, dezenfektan,
kolonya ve ilaç ihracatı izledi.

According to the data of Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical
Products Exporters’ Association (IKMIB), the exports of
Covid-19 products, which consist of disinfectants, cologne,
soap, medicine and diagnostic kits in the chemical industry,
increased by 61.43 percent in ten months this year and
reached 258.6 million dollars. While the most diagnostic kits
were exported in the ten-month period, it was followed by the
exports of soap, disinfectant, cologne and medicine.
The October export of Covid-19 products in the chemical
industry was 27.2 million dollars. Exports of these products
grew by 50.26 percent compared to the same month last year.
In October this year, most disinfectant exports were made,
followed by diagnostic kits, soap, cologne and medicine
exports.
Adil Pelister, Chairman of Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical
Products Exporters’ Association (IKMIB), drew attention to
the large increase in the exports of Covid-19 products such as
drugs, soap, cologne, disinfectant, and diagnostic kits that are
most needed due to the pandemic. Pelister made the following
assessment, “The total export of disinfectant, cologne, soap,
medicine and diagnostic kits, which we call Covid-19 products
in the chemical industry, increased by 50.26 percent in October
and reached 27.2 million dollars. While the total export of
Covid-19 products, including products in other sectors such as
respirators, masks and gowns, was $ 706.7 million in the first
ten months, the exports of Covid-19 products in the chemical
industry increased by 61.43 percent compared to the same
period last year, 258, It reached 6 million dollars.
Kimya sektöründeki Covid-19 ürünlerinin Ekim ayı ihracatı
ise 27,2 milyon dolar olarak gerçekleşti. Söz konusu ürünlerin
ihracatında geçen yıl aynı aya göre yüzde 50,26 büyüme oldu.
Bu yıl Ekim ayında en çok dezenfektan ihracatı yapılırken,
onu tanı kitleri, sabun, kolonya ve ilaç ihracatı izledi.
İstanbul Kimyevi Maddeler ve Mamulleri İhracatçıları Birliği
(İKMİB) Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Adil Pelister, pandemi
dolayısıyla en çok ihtiyaç duyulan ilaç, sabun, kolonya,
dezenfektan, tanı kitleri gibi Covid-19 ürünlerinin ihracatındaki
büyük artışa dikkat çekti. Pelister şu değerlendirmeyi yaptı:
“Kimya sektöründe yer alan Covid-19 ürünleri olarak
adlandırdığımız dezenfektan, kolonya, sabun, ilaç ve tanı
kitleri ihracatı toplamı Ekim ayında yüzde 50,26 artarak 27,2
milyon dolar oldu. Solunum cihazı, maske ve önlük gibi diğer
sektörlerdeki ürünlerin de dahil olduğu Covid-19 ürünleri
toplam ihracatı ilk on ayda 706,7 milyon dolar olurken, kimya
sektörü içinde olan Covid-19 ürünleri ihracatı geçen yıl aynı
döneme kıyasla yüzde 61,43 artışla 258,6 milyon dolara ulaştı.
Böylece tüm Covid-19 ürünlerinin dahil olduğu 706,7 milyon
dolarlık ihracattan yüzde 36,6 pay aldı.
