Chairman – Chepping Wycombe Parish Council

Penn Parish Council

Penn Parish Council has written to express its

deep alarm and concern with the implications of

the wholesale changes to the planning system

proposed by the government's white paper:

Planning for the Future. This proposal, in our

view, allows central Government to take full

control of the planning system and to impose

massive development requirements on local

plans without adequate consideration of, or

funding for, the physical and social

infrastructure to accommodate it. Local

government, parish councils and local

communities will be helpless in resisting what,

for areas like this, will be a torrent of house

building. If you share our worries about this,

please be sure to make your views known to

anyone who can influence government thinking.

Litter Picking in the Villages

We had a wonderful turn out of 25 villagers on

Sunday 27th September which meant that we

had sufficient volunteers to be able to pick all of

the litter from Common Wood Lane, Gravelly

Way, Crown Lane, Noaks Lane, Church Road,

top half of Hammersley Lane and the fields

behind the tennis/football club.

Those roads and areas produced about 100

bags of litter, a bed and mattress, huge number

of bags of dog poo (why does anyone think that

this is acceptable?) and a variety of odd objects.
