8 Second Most Exporting Sector Despite Pandemic is Chemistry Pandemiye Rağmen En Çok İhracat Gerçekleştiren İkinci Sektör Kimya Adil Pelister, Chairman of IKMIB According to the data of Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters’ Association (IKMIB), chemical industry exports in 2020 November was realized 1 , 6 billion USD. In the January-November period this year, exports of chemicals and products worth $ 16.5 billion were realized. Despite the pandemic, the chemical industry was the second most exporting industry in the 11-month period this year. Assessing the November export figures of the chemical industry, Adil Pelister, Chairman of IKMIB, “This year, our chemical industry exports in November decreased by 9.6 percent to 1.6 billion dollars, ranking second after the automotive sector. With the exports of chemicals and products to 208 countries and regions, we became first among the sectors that export the most to countries and regions in November. The top three countries to which we exported the most chemicals in November were the Netherlands, Iraq and Germany. Our sector exports for eleven months this year reached 16.5 billion dollars. As a strategic sector that supplies raw materials and semifinished products to 27 sectors, we continue to produce and export in order to be least affected by the pandemic. In this process, we see the decline in our exports of mineral fuels due to the contraction in the global market, especially the EU countries, which are the leading countries we export to, and the impact of the measures taken due to the pandemic on our exports. As a matter of fact, our İstanbul Kimyevi Maddeler ve Mamulleri İhracatçıları Birliği (İKMİB) verilerine göre, kimya sektörü ihracatı 2020 yılı Kasım ayında 1,6 milyar dolar olarak gerçekleşti. Bu yıl Ocak- Kasım döneminde ise 16,5 milyar dolarlık kimyevi maddeler ve mamulleri ihracatı gerçekleştirildi. Kimya sektörü, bu yıl on bir aylık dönemde pandemiye rağmen en çok ihracat gerçekleştiren ikinci sektör oldu. Kimya sektörünün Kasım ayı ihracat rakamlarını değerlendiren İstanbul Kimyevi Maddeler ve Mamulleri İhracatçıları Birliği (İKMİB) Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Adil Pelister, “Bu yıl Kasım ayı kimya sektörü ihracatımız yüzde 9,6 azalışla 1,6 milyar dolar olarak gerçekleşerek otomotiv sektörünün ardından ikinci sırada yer aldı. 208 ülke ve bölgeye yaptığımız kimyevi maddeler ve mamulleri ihracatı ile Kasım ayında da en çok ülke ve bölgeye ihracat yapan sektörler arasında birinci olduk. Kasım ayında en çok kimya ihracatı yaptığımız ilk üç ülke Hollanda, Irak ve Almanya oldu. Bu yıl on bir aylık sektör ihracatımız ise 16,5 milyar dolara ulaştı. 27 sektöre hammadde ve yarı mamul veren stratejik bir sektör olarak pandemiden en az şekilde etkilenmek için üretmeye ve ihracat yapmaya devam ediyoruz. Bu süreçte en çok ihracat yaptığımız ülkelerin başında gelen AB ülkeleri başta olmak üzere global pazardaki daralmadan dolayı mineral yakıtlardaki ihracatımızın azalması ve pandemi kaynaklı alınan tedbirlerin sektör ihracatımıza etkisini de görüyoruz. While there was an increase in 6 countries among the top 10 countries in November, there was a decline in 4 countries. England, Germany and Romania are striking. Chemical exports to the Netherlands amounted to 107 million 121 thousand dollars in November 2020. In November, mostly “mineral fuels, mineral oils and products”, “plastics and their products”, “essential oils, cosmetics and soap”, “inorganic chemicals” and “rubber, rubber goods” were exported to the Netherlands. Chemical exports increased to 6 countries in the top 10 in January- November period The countries to which the most chemical exports were made in the eleven - month period in January- November 2020 were Iraq, Germany, Netherlands, USA, Italy, England, Spain, Romania, Israel and Belgium respectively. In the same period, among these top 10 countries, there was an increase in chemical exports to 6 countries except Iraq, Netherlands, Italy and Spain. In the first eleven months of this year, the highest increase in exports among the top 10 countries was to England with 17.89 percent, while the highest increase in exports among the top 20 countries was to Azerbaijan-Nakhichevan with 25.80 percent. olmamız, diğer sektörlere göre performansımızın daha iyi olduğunu gösteriyor. Hollanda’ya yapılan kimya ihracatı 2020 yılı Kasım ayında 107 milyon 121 bin dolar olarak gerçekleşti. Kasım ayında Hollanda’ya en çok “mineral yakıtlar, mineral yağlar ve ürünler”, “plastikler ve mamulleri”, “uçucu yağlar, kozmetikler ve sabun”, “anorganik kimyasallar” ve “kauçuk, kauçuk eşya” ihraç edildi. Ocak-Kasım döneminde ilk 10 içinde 6 ülkeye kimya ihracatı arttı 2020 yılı Ocak-Kasım olarak on bir aylık dönemde en çok kimya ihracatı yapılan ülkeler ise sırasıyla Irak, Almanya, Hollanda, ABD, İtalya, İngiltere, İspanya, Romanya, İsrail ve Belçika olarak ilk onda yer aldı. Aynı dönemde bu ilk 10 ülke arasında Irak, Hollanda, İtalya ve İspanya dışında 6 ülkeye yapılan kimya ihracatında artış oldu. Bu yıl ilk on bir aylık dönemde, ilk 10 ülke arasında en fazla ihracat artışı yüzde 17,89 ile İngiltere’ye olurken ilk 20 ülke arasında en fazla ihracat artışı ise yüzde 25,80 ile Azerbaycan-Nahçıvan’a oldu. Kasım ayında en çok “plastikler ve mamulleri” ihracatı gerçekleştirildi Kasım ayında kimyevi maddeler ve mamulleri ürün gruplarında plastikler ve mamulleri ihracatı, 581 milyon 307 bin 884 dolarla kimya ihracatında ilk sırada yer aldı.
