As expart activity, nightscape photography, the mechanics<br />
of dimming systems, hotel lighting, train station lighting,<br />
and fire are just some of the areas pertaining to light and<br />
akari that LPA staff chose to study intensively. These areas<br />
of expertise are researched and progress at one's own<br />
pace, separate from daily work. We also held a small<br />
outing to research on brightness in the city nightscape.<br />

LPA held internal workshops on technological<br />
innovation in lighting, architecture, and IOT to keep<br />
staff up to date on rapid progress in these fields.<br />

Lighting Design Project for Reviving from Disasters<br />

Designed for use during disaster relief by architect Shigeru<br />
Ban and Voluntary Architects' Network, LPA borrowed a<br />
section of this paper partition system, in order to research<br />
useful lighting method possibilities at a evacuation center<br />
after a disaster occurs.<br />
