During the period of national isolation, the only port<br />
open to foreign ships was Dejima. After hundreds of<br />
years, these historical sites from the Edo period have<br />
been restored. Soft light spilling out from the buildings<br />
and street lights are reminiscent of life during this<br />
period. The masterplan illuminates non-glary lanterns<br />
along Chuo Street, creating a friendly nightscape, just<br />
like it might have been a long time ago.
