This communal bathhouse was renovated into a new<br />
Machiyu spa. Near the shore of lagoon Shibayama-gata,<br />
the edge lighting of this modern glass structure is sharp,<br />
but the building inherits the culture of Japanese hot<br />
spring bathing. The new spa has become a community<br />
center for citizens and tourists alike. Two unique bathes,<br />
the lagoon bath and forest bath, both have large<br />
windows to enjoy nature and the four seasons both in<br />
day and night.
