publish on Amazon, she published with someone else which has a catalog that goes out to all the
bookstores globally, libraries, schools and colleges and those who are seeing the book and its
beautiful cover are promoting it to their readers in their stores. This is a book with stories that will
live on forever and inspire the world.
I want to thank my 46 co-authors for believing in the book and submitting their stories to me and
to Angela Covany for making my dream come true of having this book out there to help women
learn about the Power of SHOWING UP and ASKING.. What is exciting is that everyday more
bookstores are picking it up. Angela is also now looking into what it would take to make it an
audio book as many have asked us if we plan to do that.
We also have been receiving lots of letters from people telling us how this book has inspired them,
some to write their own book, others to step out of their comfort zone and go for their dreams.
That is the purpose of this book and it is working and I am so blessed.
We are excited that we are going to be able to have our Soar to Greatness GSFE conference on
May 21st at the Links at Summerly in Lake Elsinore. It is an all day event from 8 to 5:30 pm and
includes continental breakfast, lunch, 8 speakers and 8 dynamic entertainers. Our MC is Robin
Moss Manning known as “Just Robbie,” She is also an accomplished entertainer herself having
performed all over the world. Currently she currently is working on a musical play she and her
partner have written and which will have a red carpet event in Palm Springs in 2022, They had
planned it for this year but Covid stepped in, it will be an amazing event and we will all get an
invitation. We are honored that she stepped in as you know we lost Robert “Hollywood” who
was for years our MC. One year when Hollywood was sick Robin stepped in and took over the
MC and also performed and everyone loved her.
Already 56 tickets are gone and because of covid we are limited to 125 so I would suggest if you
are coming that you get your ticket now. Tickets are normally $100.00 but because of a birthday
facebook fundraiser I did that raised $1460.00 we have applied that money to the conference
and so members can come for $50.00. Originally we said get a member guest and one person
buy he ticket and get the member to give you $50.00 and then we would send you two tickets,
Because that seemed to be an issue I have asked Johnathan our VP on the board who handles
our technology to go in and add a separate ticket price for members only of $50.00 and that has
been added so you can go to www.globalsocietyforfemaleentrepreneurs.org and click on events
and then on the conference and you will be able to buy your ticket on line. You will see one link
for members and another for guests. Guests still pay the $100.00, the $50.00 is only a member
benefit. There will be no tickets sold at the door and when you purchase your ticket I will mail
you your ticket. No tickets will be held without payment. This will sell out soon so don’t delay
get your ticket today.
We are asking everyone if possible to wear cobalt blue as that is our color for GSFE but its
not mandatory. Also each network is doing a basket and would love their members to donate
something to your networks basket. Perhaps you go to the same hairdresser, restaurant, theatre
etc and know the owners ask them if they would donate a gift certificate. We are a 5001 c3 non
profit and we have an inkind donation letter if you need it let me know.
Also perhaps you have a gift that you would like to regift, or give a certificate for something you
do, or a book you have written, etc., any of those items would be great so give them to your
director for your network basket. We need all the baskets in by May 10th so your director needs
to get your item as soon as possible so they know what they have and can compile a list and
value of each item so we can have a total for each basket. In the past the baskets were all over
$300.00. We will sell the raffle tickets for the baskets at the event. We also will do a 50/50 and
have door prizes and have vendors for you to SHOP, but most of all the event will have lots of
networking opportunities and fun and the place to SHOWUP at on May 21s all day. Hope to see
you there. As you purchase your ticket there is a stub that I fill out and keep before I send you
the ticket, that stub with individuals names will be used for door prizes.
One of our entertainers Chelsea Snow recently performed on a CBS Event Show “Game Of
Talents”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRNr3XQQlh4, Chelsee Snow is now 17 and is an Opera
Singer and has performed all over the world. She is amazing, can’t wait to hear her at our
conference.
your calendars and plan to SHOW UP for at least one meeting a month. Remember though as a
member you can go to as many meetings as you want each month you just need to RSVP with
the director of that network and pay your meeting fee which si $10.00 for members and $15.00
for guests. At the live meetings you also need to order food and pay the restaurant direct for
your order. Meeting fees are paid to the directors.
It was great to see 150 members get awards recently from CD Wilson events these were for
many have been won by our deserving GSFE members so congratulations and more are coming
as a guest and honoring me on her “Service Hero Show” Joy Ruffin for having me as a guest on
her “ Ladies Leaving Legacies”, Carmelita Pittman for having me as a guest on her show and to
like to be my guest contact me and let’s set up a date. The show is ½ hour and all about YOU!.
If you have been doing some great things be sure and let your director know so she can add it to
News from
Hemet
GSFE
Joan Wakeland
Lori Raupe
Greetings from the Hemet Chapter.
A warm welcome to Sharye Cressler.
Thank you Lori Raupe for referring
Sharye and for being a great Co-
Director.
The photo above was captured
by me, I am so fascinated by the
Creator’s Masterpiece that is there
for us when we look up! In a fleeting
moment it is gone, you have to
grab it quickly! It reminds me of
opportunities that come to us and
we fail to grab them ! We ponder.. is
it a good fit for me.. then we decide
yes.. too late .. it’s gone .. now
because of a tardy moment we live with a regret!
Robbie Motter has shared so many opportunities for us to network and we miss out for different
reasons. I give her an excuse... “awh” an excuse is not acceptable.
She will say” when was the last time you checked your email? “You know what follows, I can’t
go into details! I have to do some changes in my mode of operation! I get so many emails, I am
now unsubscribing to senders that I did not request getting mail for any service or offer. Do I
have some folks out there like me who need to make some changes? Sure, let’s do some spring
cleaning in our mailboxes. Delete and unsubscribe! Let’s pay more attention and focus on what
can make a difference. This month let us focus on Building Relationships. This will bring more
referrals and ultimately more opportunities!
Here is an opportunity to benefit from an awesome presenter on April 21, 2021 at 12 noon Arvee
Robinson will be addressing The Topic “Your Message Matters ... Zoom Etiquette “
Arvee Robinson is The Master Speaker Trainer, public speaking coach, international speaker,
and author of Speak Up, Get Clients. She teaches business owners and entrepreneurs how to
16
use public speaking as a marketing strategy so they can attract more clients, generate unlimited
FEATURED MEMBER
This month I would like to feature Katherine the Great. I met Katherine at an Oakridge
Fundraising event. She was introduced to me by Robbie. She was vending her brand of Greeting
Cards.
When she was through assembling her booth, I decided to peruse her inventory. I felt as if I
was in a Candy Store. I was in for a treat! Katherine the Great had a wide array of cards for any
occasion!
Katherine is very creative and designs cards to suit the recipient. This is what you can do to
get a one of a kind personalized card. Call Katherine the Great at (951) 973-0200, tell her a little
about the person that you are sending the card and leave the rest to her. You will be sending a
keepsake, that card will be cherished and displayed for a long time.
Sandie Fuenty
Lake Elsinore /Murrieta GSFE News
By Robbie Motter for Director Sandie Fuenty
We missed our director Sandie Fuenty who was unable to run the meeting as she had to
take her husband to the VA hospital for an appointment, so I ran the meeting for Sandie,
but she will be back next month. Also we missed the talented Katherine Orho and also
was sorry to hear her mother was in the Hospital and pray that she is much better, we
send our love and prayers. Also Safari Kay Trotman was out of the country and we
were sorry to hear that a long time friend of hers that always showed up at the Safari’s
passed, we send her prayers and our love as well.
It was our first meeting back live and everyone was so happy to reconnect. Our Speaker
was Marcy Decato and she gave us some fantastic tips on Marketing and there was some
great input from the members. We only had seven present as two had birthdays and
were out celebrating, one was out of state and one who always comes had car trouble,
but the 7 that were there loved the meeting and walked away with some great nuggets
of information shard by Marcy.
At the meeting was: Kimberly Anderson, Gigi Mindreau Banks a member of Riverside
GSFE, Barbara Brewer, Angela Covany the co-director of Menifee GSFE Marcy Decato
our speaker a Temecula GSFE member, Maryhelen Garcia and Robbie Motter.
Congratulations to Kimberly Anderson on her successful: Goddess Retreat: event it was
terrific.
One of the things in addition to asking them to share their name, what they do and how we
can help them I also asked them to share one thing we did not know about them. Some funny
responses came back, like Kimberly Anderson told us she rode Harleys and one thing I did not
know about Gigi Mindreau Banks who is a Riverside GSFE member and was at the meeting was
that she was in the Peruvian Military. Here are some photos of our Gig Mindreu-Banks in action.
All of our GSFE sisters are not doing the same job there doing their whole life so its always
interesting to add that question of what one thing do we not know about you and we learn so
much more.
So hope to see you next month at the Lake Elsinore/Murriea live meeting at the Links at
Summerly always the 4th Thursday live at noon, be sure always to RSVP to Sandy.
This is why I am passionate about what I do!
www.twitter.com/TheWic
I don’t even know where to begin at this new beginning... on one hand, I’m sooooo glad 2020
is over... on the other, here comes 2021... and I honestly don’t know how I feel about it yet. Like
many, I had to make some changes and tough decisions last year.
My first decision of 2021 was choosing my “word(s) of the year”: PASSION and CHANGE. Even
amid the challenges, I am doing my best to stay positive and hopeful. I’m rediscovering what I’m
passionate about and being reminded that change doesn’t equal “bad”.
My next decisions are as follows:
• Good Ol’ Gals is NOT closing its doors! Having built an incredible organization that has
evolved into “the most fun women can have doing business” AND celebrating 13 years in
December, we WILL continue to provide a platform for female entrepreneurs/business owners
to connect on both personal and professional level.
• The GOG Gala, which was to be held at the end of January, must be once again postponed
until later in 2021. Be sure you are on the GOGs email list and stay tuned for more to come
• Jordan & Jordan Marketing is still OPEN FOR BUSINESS and will continue to provide expert
marketing services including a revival of the Marketing Mastery Interactive Workshops If
interested, email sljordan@jordanjordan.com.
• The Business Explosion and the Business Women’s Mega Mixer annual events WILL be held,
just not like I had originally thought... INTRODUCING....
MEGA BOOM 2021! This blended event will bring
together all of the most amazing, incredible and
highly-acclaimed aspects of the individual events
into ONE SPECTACULAR EXPERIENCE with a
new agenda, new features, new opportunies, new
connections and new beginnings!
Don’t just save the date... commit to participating
and make it a HUGE celebration, a high-note
ending for 2021 and a grand kick-off for 2022!
The new website(s) are not ready yet as promotion
begins in April (provided things are
moving in the right direction).
In the meantime, for more
info, email or TEXT me...
Joan Wakeland
Lori Raupe
Hi everyone, Greetings from Riverside.
I wish to extend a warm welcome to
newest member Dr. Marianne Cintron.
Thank you Arvee Robinson for introducing
your friend to GSFE.
The picture is that of Mount Rubidoux in
Riverside. Many people hike to the top
especially this time of year. I tried to get
to the top on Easter Sunday in 2018 but
never made it. My desire was I wanted to,
yes I can do it, my feet had another plan!
I would like to share my favorite quote
with you. I was inspired by it!
“ Without ambition one starts nothing. Without work, one finishes nothing. The prize will not
be sent to you. You have to win it.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
I started but never made it, so I did not win the prize of seeing the real beauty that this
photographer captured. I am grateful to the individual who shared this picture.
What’s on your bucket list that needs to be started?
In March our Presenter was Professor Rosalyn Kahn. She addressed the importance of having
your identity protected. If it is stolen, it becomes your personal nightmare. You will be the
victim and literally you will have to convince the legal authorities that you are who you say
you are! She shared how Catalytic Converters were high ticket items that were stolen.
Protect yourself if you have not already done so. Prof.Rosalyn will be happy to assist you.
On April 13,2021 at 6:30 pm our Presenter will be Ms. Corine Wofford . Listen to Corine so
that you can master “The art of Negotiationing to Success!“
Global Society For Female Entrepreneurs - www.globalsocietyforfemaleentrepreneurs.org
Women negotiate differently from men, some find it difficult to envision what they really want!
Corine will enlighten you how to negotiate and expand on the skills you may already have. Please
reserve this date on your Calendar!
Corine Wofford is a woman of many secrets. When she shares these secrets with corporate
leaders and women entrepreneurs from Dallas to Dubai, they learn how to make a profit while
creating a meaningful difference in the world. For over 30 years, teams at IBM, APPLE, USAA and
women entrepreneurs globally have learned how to save money, expand sales, and win customers
working with Corine. If your fear of negotiating is costing you more than you’d like to admit,
than you’re definitely in the right place! Corine was recently named “Mentor of the Year” by the
National Assoc. of Women Business Owners and spearheads a leading business advisory firm in
Texas. When Corine isn’t helping her clients with sales negotiations, securing top speaker fees or
salaries, she can be found advocating for a worthwhile cause in the community or spending time
with her Big Fabulous Italian Family.
Please reserve April 13, 2021 at 6:30 pm Pacific on your Calendar to
attend this Zoom Meeting.
a space where people would find their true self.
As a Life Coach, she focuses on self- reconnection, selfawareness,
self-worth, self-understanding, and selfknowledge.
Regardless where you are or aren’t in life, by
reconnecting to you, you are able to make better choices
which will create better life experiences.
She is very passionate about people reaching their full
personal potential in every area of their life. Sometimes it’s
not about a change, but about the awareness. Once you are
aware of you, you can start the process by ‘acting in your
Temecula GSFE Network news
By Robbie Motter
Our April meeting was held in your new location Blackbird Tavern on 5th Street in Old Town
Temecula. The room was private and open so lots of fresh hair flowed in and we were able to
spread out.
Our speaker Nadine LaJoie who drove all the way from Long Beach really gave us some things
to think about which could help us save money and she is so knowledgeable on the subject.
We had 10 at tonight’s live Temecula GSFE meeting they were: Marcy Decato, Denise Gregory,
Joanne Groch, Debbie Love, Gigi Mindreau-Banks, Councilwoman Bridgette Moore, Robbie
Motter, Shelly Rufin, Ally Thornton and Violet William. 4 others had Rsvp’d to come but at the
last minute were unable to be there.
Food and service was good and it was great to see everyone. We were able to share with
each of them information on The Temecula Valley Business Journal, Soar to Greatness GSFE
Conference and the Beach bash as well as the Intern opportunity which members can read
about in the GSFE newsletter soon to be published.
It was great to catch up and to hear some of the new thing’s members are doing. My Co-
Director Shelly Rufin will be spending the summer in Spain and Ally Thornton, jewelry designer
of organic jewelry shared that she spent the covid time to learn more things that could help her
business and she has been applying what she has learned and her business is growing. Marcy
Decato will be leaving April 18th to go to Colombia to be with her mother who is ill. We wish
her a safe journey and her mother a speedy recovery.
Council Woman Bridgette Moore shared that due to the pandemic she took up gardening and
is loving it and has planted lots of beautiful plants and they are all growing. Violet Williams
shared thar she was closing escrow on a home that she and her husband purchased which
happened to be the house they rented for many years so now she is getting things organized
and working on her book. Denise Gregory mentioned that she as doing on line classes with her
grandson to make sure he stays focused and is learning.
Debbie Love told us her studio is now open again and she can teach her self defense classed for
women and youth in the parks. I love our meetings as each time we get to learn so much more
about our members.
Virtual Thursdays at
GSFE
Angeline Benjamin
By Angeline Benjamin, Director
Our Virtual network meeting through zoom on First Thursday afternoon, March
4th, 2021 at noon PST was well attended. We were excited to have Robbie
Motter joining us at the meeting. We got a chance to sing and wish her a
very happy birthday. Her birthday which is March 8th, is the same date as
International Women’s Day! Last month, we had 3 new members, Angelique
MacArthur, Barbara J. Hopkinson, and Kimberly Renee joined the First Thursday
Virtual GSFE group. Welcome to GSFE. I want to thank Robbie Motter who has
helped us recruited them to join GSFE.
Mimi Donaldson, a superstar in the speaking business, keynoting with celebrities
for audience of thousands was our speaker at this meeting. Her topic was: “Be
Pitch Perfect Anytime, How Speaking Up Can Grow Your Business.” We enjoyed
her motivating presentation which is designed to improve of we present
ourselves virtually. Some of her powerful messages are:
• Use your energy in positive ways to burn off nervousness, to be your best on
the screens of Zoom and other platforms
• Let other introduce you
• Have top notch equipment (computer, camera, etc.)
• Make sure you are not providing a distraction to your audience with your
appearance
• Pay attention to your background – it should be centered
• Mimi provided us the 7 simple steps as described in her latest book: “Pitch
Perfect: Speak to Grow Your Business in 7 simple steps.”
This month, we are excited to introduce our new Virtual First Thursday GSFE
member, Angelique MacArthur from West Chester, PA, who joined us in March.
Let’s welcome her to be part of our GSFE sisterhood.
Angelique MacArthur
Angelique MacArthur is a Lifestyle Coach for millennial women hailing from
Markham, Ontario, Canada (just outside of Toronto).
At age 30 she entered a period of anxiety and confusion surrounding transition
into adulthood, and as she worked through it her passion for helping other
millennial women grow their confidence in adulting expanded. She provides
elatable real talk through her fun, and value focused content where she
serves up guidance on how to connect deeply to the key areas of life
while creating the relationship with your life that you ultimately desire in
adulthood.
When she’s not interacting with amazing women around the world and
building a business she adores, Angelique is into building connections in
other ways. She loves to spend time with her husband Joshua and Just
Dance battles and mock MasterChef challenges are standard in their home.
In the summer you can find her playing field hockey, a sport she loves like no
other, and taking road trips, eating lots of ice cream and hanging on patios
with loved ones. Also, a huge lover of travel she has been to places such as
Japan (where she lived for a year and 3 months teaching English), Australia,
5 Main components of
BRANDING
Second component of branding: VISION
VISION: A vivid mental image of what you want your business to be at some point in the future
based on your goals and aspirations. Having a vision will give your business a clear focus and can
stop you heading in the wrong direction.
3 Key Reasons Why Having A Company Vision Is Crucial
1. It is unifying
When a clear vision is defined within a company, it provides a gathering point, or common
interest, making everyone feel as though they are a part of a greater whole. Not only does
this give deeper meaning for the work, but it also helps unify everyone into a team that is
organized, focused, and working together to contribute to the vision.
2. It is inspiring
Defining a powerful vision is inspiring. It has a clear motivational effect on everyone within
the organization. It creates an energy and enthusiasm, increasing commitment and fostering
change. This is especially important in difficult or stressful times, as having a clear vision will
produce persistence and remind you why you started.
3. It provides a focal point for goal-setting and business planning
Having a vision provides a sense of purpose and direction for the business. Your vision will
help you define your short and long-term goals, and guide the decisions you make along the
way.
“A leader has the vision and conviction that a dream can be achieved.
He inspires the power and energy to get it done.”
The Second Quarter
Has Arrived
By AnGèle M. Cade
Executive on the Go
The Second Quarter Has Arrived
A lot of goals might feel like they are slipping through the cracks. Second quarter
is a great time to make adjustments and here are four tips to continue the journey
in your success:
1) Learn from the past - first quarter has given you some indicators and insight of
places where you can make adjustment
2) Prioritize your goals - at the beginning the year we tend to be ambitious so
take a moment to prioritize your goals today
3) Establish accountability - get with a person / group that will help hold you
accountable so that you can’t escape the procrastination and distractions that
always seem to pop up
4) Data, data, data - Hold meetings, check critical points and measure the
analytics so that you are making decisions based on facts
We are Looking For Volunteers To Join Our Sisterhood! Next Meeting 4/24
We are looking for volunteers with availability of 5-24 hours per month or more to grow with our
organization! Lots of opportunity to socialize and to make a difference in the lives of others. Qualifier:
To have a passion for the mission and vision of The Dresses and Dreams Project. We are a 100%
volunteer-run sisterhood. Mark your calendars for the next volunteer meeting and go to our website
at http://www.thedressesanddreamsproject.org to get started with a volunteer application. We need
you to come share your time, talents, and treasures, even if you aren’t quite sure what that looks like
yet! And don’t forget to mark your calendars for April 24! Ages 15+ welcome!

Hello,
I would like to take a moment to introduce our organization, The Dresses and
Dreams Project, which is a non-profit (501c3) organization that is volunteer run
benefiting women and girls with hardships or challenging circumstances. Our
vision is to provide a safe place to learn about love, identity, healthy relationships,
and spirituality; as well as provide resources for healing, life issues, and a pathway
to breaking the cycle and living out one’s life’s purpose.
The Dresses and Dreams Project, formerly known as Operation Prom Girl, provides
formal gowns to teen girls, military women, and those with special needs, such as with Tim Tebow’s “A Night to
Shine” event. Our organization has already given away over 1,200 dresses and has an inventory of over 1,700 formal
gowns.
We are so much more than a dress, as The Dresses and Dreams Project offers guidance, mentorship, resources,
referrals, and workshops to help women and girls who are survivors of trauma, abuse, domestic violence, and
other circumstances. We currently host a workshop entitled “Love Shouldn’t Hurt,” which educates participants
to the characteristics of abuse, understanding a healthy relationship verses a toxic one, and how to seek help. We
also offer vision board workshops to help participants imagine their futures and set goals. In the future, we plan
to offer workshops for suicide awareness/prevention, human trafficking awareness/prevention, and alcohol/drug
addiction education.
In May, we will be holding a “Bless a Grad” event where we will be giving 50 senior girls from the class of 2021 a
formal gown and goody bag. The gowns have been donated by community members, Macy’s, and other clothing
retailers. The goody bags will consist of cosmetics, nail polish, jewelry, gift cards, and hair accessories. Most of
our recipients are foster children or girls with financial hardships. This event will also offer the girls a free photo
session with one free portrait.
Our organization’s volunteers and Board members consist of community members who dedicate their valuable
time and money to help those in need. Our founder and some volunteers know from experience the type of circumstances
these girls and women face, which helps them be empathetic and compassionate.
As our mission statement claims, we are “empowering vulnerable teen girls and women to make their hopes and
dreams a reality…”
During the last year with the pandemic, we did not receive many donations or funding from grants. That is why
we need your help! We are at the end of our funds, therefore, we have been holding several fundraising events to
save our dresses. With your donation, you could help save our organization!
We recently developed a sponsorship program for your tax-deductible donation. If you contribute $25 or less,
you become a Pearl Sponsor and we will honor you with a certificate of appreciation and social media recognition.
If you contribute $150 or more, you will be an Emerald Sponsor and will also receive a t-shirt with our logo
and free advertising on our social media sites. If your donation is $500 or more, you will be our Ruby Sponsor. In
addition to the previously mentioned, you will be sponsoring a table for eight girls at our annual Operation Prom
Girl event. We will place a placard on the table promoting your sponsorship, as well as presenting you with a VIP
award. Our Diamond Sponsorship is for those who donate $1,000 or more. All the previously mentioned are given,
but you will also be sponsoring two tables for 16 girls at our annual event!
Please look us up at www.thedressesanddreamsproject.org or call us at (951) 457-1363. You can also locate us on
Facebook and Instagram. Our tax ID is 47-5462148.
We thank you for taking the time to read this letter and we look forward to hearing from you. We hope you consider
becoming a ‘gem’ with The Dresses and Dreams Project! Look for another email soon with more details on
our sponsorship program!
Sincerely,
