Long Beach March 2021
March 2021 was a memorable and fun meeting. We celebrated our founder *Robbie Motter’s
85th Birthday. She shares her birthday on March 8th along with ”Women’s International Day.”
How Classic! I couldn’t resist getting a Renaud’s bakery Flourless decadent chocolate mousse
cake that melts in your mouth. I also brought another cake with lots of blue frosting topped
with a blue rose. Anyone who KNOWS Robbie knows she loves lots of icing on cakes.
To top it off for Women’s History month, we were honored to have the one & only , Dr.
Catherine Pope as our speaker. She brought several of her books “In Search of the Crown“
~Memoir of a Black Beauty Queen~ She donated 4 autographed books amongst the jewelry I
donated towards our raffle prizes.
In May we have our annual *Soar to Greatness Women’s Conference* on May 21st 2021. All of
the GSFE locations will donate a basket each. If you can contribute a gift or samples attached
with your biz card, please bring it to our April meeting.
Our next meeting to look forward to will be on the 3rd Monday as usual which falls on the
19th. Our next speaker will be the lovely Rosalyn Kahn. Rosalyn’s topic is “How to reduce
stress in today’s troubled times.“
Be there or you are the true April FOOL ! Ha ! Ha !
