Hello Readers,
Can you believe we are already entering the second half of
this year! Welcome to another bumper edition of Stellenbosch
Magazine.
Elmarine has been hard at work introducing two new features for
this edition. Hold your breath. We will be introducing two more
in the next issue! Yes, since leaving Eikestadnuus at the end of
February, she has been writing to her heart’s content and is so
passionate that she has written almost all of our features herself.
I was pleasantly surprised when I shared the magazine cover
with Fanie van der Merwe. He mentioned that Thabo Dube from
LetZ (fondly known as Thabs to those who know him well) was
his roommate for two years at Stellenbosch University during their
student years. He was surprised at the coincidence that they are
both featured in the same issue! We hope you enjoy a glimpse
into both their lives.
Our two new features are our Asset Builder of the Month and a
feature of our Local Schools one at a time as the months go by.
We start out with the second oldest school in Stellenbosch, Paul
Roos Gymnasium. One hundred and fifty-five years’ information
in a bumper feature! With almost forty schools to cover in the
upcoming months, I guess by the time it’s their turn again, they
will be turning 160 years old!
