MADRISA CIRCUIT 12:30 PM, KLOSTERS TRAIN STATION Some participants are quite laid back during the trip to Klosters on the Rhaetian Railway. Others talk cheerfully, ask me about all sorts of things or swap information with each other. We return to the ski area on the Madrisa cable car. The practical aspect: our Montafon ski passes are also valid here. 1:20 PM, MADRISA LIFT SUMMIT STATION Arrival at the highest point of the tour at 2,600 metres above sea level. We often take a group photo here. But actually everyone wants to get away from the piste and the lift again. Everyone’s eager for the next descent. 2:30 PM, SCHLAPPINER JOCH Our last ascent of the day only involves about 100 vertical metres. The route runs exclusively along the south side. So it can get correspondingly warm. We always keep the avalanche danger in mind. The important thing is not to just blindly follow the existing tracks but to find a good route ourselves and keep a safe distance apart. Through the Valzifenz valley, after another descent of 500 vertical metres, we reach Vergalden and thus “back to civilisation” and the starting point of the tour. 3:00 PM, STOP FOR REFRESHMENTS The skiing day is over and there’s usually a stop for refreshments. We go through our intense impressions at the same time. Some people may have overestimated their powers of endurance a little and are now really pooped. But most of them are happy, and pleased with the way the day went. You see many of them again on another tour within the next year. P
