PICNIC SNOWSHOE HIKE<br />
TIME TO SLOW DOWN AND RELAX<br />
On their way through the forest, aside from<br />
the crunching of the snow beneath their<br />
shoes, participants are accompanied by absolute<br />
tranquillity and silence. Only a few<br />
animal tracks left by the forest dwellers can<br />
be made out in the deep snow.<br />
Once they arrive at the viewpoint, the snowshoe<br />
hikers are already looking forward to<br />
their well-deserved snack. And for them to<br />
enjoy it properly, a table and bench are quickly<br />
carved out using shovels. Heavy work<br />
with a rumbling stomach? Not at all, says<br />
Romy, “It’s something quite special for the<br />
participants because who goes on a picnic in<br />
winter?!”<br />
After the refreshments, including regional<br />
delicacies such as the <strong>Montafon</strong> Sura Kees<br />
(cheese), the guests make their way down the<br />
mountain to the Panoramagasthof Kristberg<br />
near the summit station, where a further<br />
culinary highlight awaits: a delicious, homemade<br />
Kaiserschmarren (sweet shredded<br />
pancakes). P
