CAPTIVATING LANDSCAPES
The entire Silvretta Montafon, including the
“Nova” area, is well known on the freeriding
scene. Professionals love the varied terrain,
which ranges from easy to steep slopes. The
ski area cuts a fine figure as well on Instagram
– no wonder with this panorama.
SNOW SURE HOCHJOCH
Simon Wohlgenannt feels very comfortable on
the Hochjoch: “Together with the Grasjoch,
it’s a super playground for short and exciting
freeride runs. It often snows a few centimetres
more here than elsewhere. It is also fairly well
protected from the wind, and the Zamangspitze
is simply a great ascent with plenty of options
for the descent. It’s this combination that
makes it special.” On freeriding and skiing in
general, he appreciates the experience of nature,
which can change daily depending on the
snow conditions: “One day this line is perfect
and just one day later another one is. You never
get bored because there’s always something
new to discover.” F
