Since last winter, the Hochjoch in
the Silvretta Montafon has offered
a new central gathering place for
freeriders and fans of deep snow.
Simon Wohlgenannt (36) is the founder and
operator of the Freeride Station. The former
freeride professional sums up his concept
in three words: ride, connect, learn. “We’re
geared towards all those who love riding in
deep snow with a passion, from beginners
to pros. With or without an ascent, specially
suited offers and mountain experiences can be
booked by anyone,” says Simon. Equally important
is the opportunity to meet like-minded
people on site (“connect”) and, last but not
least, to get reliable, up-to-date information,
such as the avalanche danger level. F
