Growing Veggies<br />
Growing veggies is a great way to get<br />
the whole family involved in gardening.<br />
It is very rewarding eating meals that<br />
have veggies you have grown yourself.<br />
The other bonus of growing your own<br />
vegetables is that you can grow what<br />
you what, you know what they are<br />
growing in, and you have confidence in<br />
knowing they are free from nasty sprays.<br />
1. Pick a sunny position for your veggie garden<br />
with shelter from the wind<br />
2. If you’re using timber, untreated is best. If using<br />
treated timber line with black plastic.<br />
3. Having a good quality soil is key for growing<br />
a bumper crop. For leafy, above the ground<br />
produce, choose Intelligro Veggie Garden Mix.<br />
For root crops, (potatoes, radishes etc) choose<br />
Intelligro Garden Soil Mix. A soil blend is<br />
preferred by these plants.<br />
4. Make sure you plant quality, in-season seedling.<br />
5. For a successful veggie garden make sure you<br />
establish a regular watering routine. Plants will<br />
bolt to seed if they are stressed due to a lack<br />
