Republican Central Committee<br />
The <strong>Madison</strong> County Republican Central Committee will<br />
meet at 7 p.m. <strong>June</strong> 7 at the <strong>Madison</strong> County Engineer’s Office,<br />

Retired Teachers<br />
The <strong>Madison</strong> County Retired Teachers Association will<br />
meet on <strong>June</strong> 13 at Der Dutchman Restaurant, 445 S. Jefferson<br />
Ave., Plain City. Lunch is served 11:30 a.m.-12:30<br />
p.m. followed by the meeting 12:30-1:30 p.m. The program<br />
is “Travels with <strong>Madison</strong> County Retired Teachers Carol<br />

Crego Family Reunion<br />
The Crego Family Reunion 100th Anniversary will take<br />
place at 12 noon on <strong>June</strong> 26 at Pastime Park in Plain City.<br />
Art Exhibit<br />
The London Visual Arts Guild is hosting “Barns, Bees &<br />
Elephant Knees,” an art exhibit featuring the work of<br />
artists Hilary Frambes, Sondra Fox and Debbie Walker,<br />
through <strong>June</strong> 26 at the London Arts Center, 121 E. First<br />
St., London. The center’s hours are Thursdays and Sundays,<br />
11 a.m.-2 p.m., and Saturdays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.<br />
Health District Board<br />
The <strong>Madison</strong> County London City Health District Board<br />
will meet at 5 p.m. <strong>June</strong> 13 at <strong>Madison</strong> County Public<br />
Health, 306 Lafayette St., London.<br />
Hypertufa Pot Making<br />
The <strong>Madison</strong> County Master Gardeners are hosting a hypertufa<br />
pot making session from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. <strong>June</strong> 11<br />
at the <strong>Madison</strong> County Extension Office, 217 Elm St., London.<br />
Participants will make an 8-inch hypertufa pot, learn the<br />
recipe, see techniques using molds and leaves, and get ideas<br />
for planting. The cost is $20 (does not include plants). Registration<br />

Fish Fries<br />
American Legion Post 201, 9701 W. Broad St., West Jefferson,<br />
is holding fish fries on the first and third Fridays of<br />
the month through October. The menu includes fish, fries,<br />
baked beans, coleslaw, drinks and desserts. Eat-in or carryout<br />
available. Hours are 4-7 p.m.<br />
Mount Sterling Alumni<br />
The Mount Sterling Alumni Association is hosting its annual<br />
alumni banquet on <strong>June</strong> 11 at the Mount Sterling<br />
Community Center, 164 E. Main St., Mount Sterling. Tickets<br />
are $25 each and must be purchased by May 31. Checkin<br />
and social hour run from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by dinner<br />
catered by Ben & Joy’s Restaurant. For details, contact<br />

This year, the association is welcoming alumni from any<br />
of the schools that are or have been associated with the<br />
<strong>Madison</strong>-Plains school district in honor of the 50th anniversary<br />
of the first graduating class of <strong>Madison</strong>-Plains. This is<br />
the association’s first banquet in three years due to the<br />
COVID-19 pandemic.<br />
West Jefferson Events<br />
The village of West Jefferson is hosting the following:<br />
• Lunch & Learn. <strong>June</strong> 6-Aug. 11 at the Community<br />
Center, 230 Cemetery Rd. Every Monday, Tuesday and<br />
Thursday, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. All ages welcome but geared to<br />
ages 5-12.<br />
• Friday Night Uptown. <strong>June</strong> 10—Elvis impersonator, 6-<br />
7 p.m.; Lee Gant country music artist, 7-10 p.m.; Fuller Flavor,<br />
Guelaguetza, and Rolling Oasis food trucks.<br />
July 15—Pandora Effect, 6-9 p.m.; Slap Happy’s, Guac &<br />
Roll, and Miller’s Ice Cream food trucks.<br />
Aug. 5—North to Nashville, 6-9 p.m.; 3 Flame BBZ, Roadside<br />

• Daddy Daughter Dance. <strong>June</strong> 18, 6-8 p.m., at the Community<br />

• Ox Roast Dance. Sept. 3, 7 p.m. at Garrette Park.<br />
• Fall Fest. Oct. 22, 6-9 p.m., at the Community Center,<br />

Pancake Breakfast<br />
The Stokes Township/South Solon Fire Department,<br />
7105 E. Main St., South Solon, is hosting a community pancake<br />
breakfast <strong>June</strong> 18, 7:30 a.m.-noon. Donations of $7 per<br />
adult and $3 per child are being asked. The meal includes<br />
pancakes, eggs, sausage, and milk, fruit punch of coffee. Pop<br />
can be purchased for 50 cents. All proceeds benefit the fire<br />
department.<br />
