After a two year absence, thousands
come together to celebrate
Heywood’s 1940’s Day 32-33
Welcome to
our July issue
With Summer upon us, there’s plenty
going on in our community, much
of which is reflected in this months’
community section.
It was great to see the much anticipated
Heywood’s 1940’s day finally able to go ahead
after two years of being cancelled. As always,
many people made a great effort to make this
day extra special and the amazing pictures on
pages 32 and 33 capture the spirit of the day.
On page 34 your Local In Bloom group tell us
what they have been doing to help make your
Town look so lovely. Judging of the North West
In Bloom Competition takes place on Monday
11th and Tuesday 12th of July. Watch out for
the results in a future issue of Streetwise.
We have had a lot to celebrate recently and
it was lovely to see so many Jubilee Parties
going on locally. On pages 35 and 36 we
feature a couple of articles showing some
pictures from these events. Also, check out
page 33 to find out all about The Friends
of Hopwood Park’s next event on Saturday
16th July.
